‘Search for intelligence is the most effective implement which can bring people of different blond and cultures together and can broaden and promote in friendship and sympathy; no other activity of man can achieve this. This is because, in its very nature, knowledge is universal.’ Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysore is one of the most prestigious engineering colleges established in city to impart excellent education to the browbeaten members of the society. It is a red letter day in the history of the college as it has taken a staggering venture of inaugurating ‘VidyaVardhaka college of Engineering Alumni Association’ (V.V.C.E.A.A). The preferred objective of VidyaVardhaka College of Engineering Alumni Association (VVCEAA) is to gather the information about the alumnus periodically and will keep track of other relevancies.
An alumni association is a connection of graduates or, more broadly, of former students. These associations often organize social events, publish newsletters or magazines, and raise funds for the organization. Additionally, such groups often support new alumni, and provide a forum to form new friendships and business relationships with people of similar background. Alumni associations are mainly organized around universities or departments of universities, but may also be organized among students that studied in a certain country. They are often considered to be the universities or school's old boy’s network.
Whenever we
approach our Alumni the question invariably asked is why should I join
the VVCEAA? We do not resent this question. On the other hand we welcome
it. An attempt is made to answer the question to the best of our
perception. The first and the most enduring benefit as highlighted by
the main objective of the association is to establish contact with our
classmates, our seniors, those who graduated since our time and also to
keep in touch about the progress made by our Alma Mater. We sincerely
feel that we would like to cherish this opportunity to review contact
and enlarge it both from personal and professional point of view.
But it may become almost impossible if you relied on your individual efforts. We suggest that you leave this job in the hands of organization primarily meant for the purpose: the VVCEAA. The association will gather the information about its members periodically and will pass it on to all the members. Further the association will also inform you about the development and achievement in the campus. In a netshell VVCEAA act as a liasion between you and college. We have a lot of plans and we request you to whole heartedly support by joining VVCEAA and become its life member.
