Student Activities

Our college students are known for participating in various social service activities

like blood donation, AIDS awareness and Tree plantation. In order to imbibe recent

trends and technologies among the students Seminars and special lectures are

frequently held.

Physical Education and Sports

With a firm belief that physical fitness leads to mental fitness, the college encourages various sports and games.
The Sports Council consisting of senior staff members and the captains of the

College teams which organize an Annual Sports and Athletics meet as part of

"VIDYUTH" which is an Inter Engineering College festival and encouraging the

students to participate in various VTU Inter collegiate sports activities.

Placement & Training Center

This center arranges programs on career guidance, aptitude tests, mock

interviews and group discussions to assist students in chalking out a career path. The center also arranges for industrial training by providing students with exhaustive

information regarding prominent industries. This has proved to be useful to

students in selecting final year projects, which are industrially oriented. The

center is in touch with many hardware, software companies, Mechanical and

Information technology Industries for placement of potential candidates. A full-fledged placement cell is active which continuously interacts with the industries

for placements.

Details of scholarships for deserving students

[A] Fee Concession/Scholarships from Director of Technical Education, Bangalore.	[1] Fee concession to the students belonging to group 2A, 2B, 3A & 3 B students whose parents/guardian income is not more than Rs.11,000/- P.A.
	[2] Fee concession to the SC/ST and category-1 group students whose income is not more than Rs. 50,000/- P.A.
	[3] Government of India National Merit Scholarship.
B] Scholarship from District Social Welfare Office, Mysore District, Mysore.	[1] Government of India post metric scholarship of scheduled cast and scheduled tribe students.
[C] Scholarship from District Officer for Backward Classes & Minorities, Mysore District, Mysore.	[1] Post metric scholarship to students belonging to back word classes and minorities.
[E] S.J. Jindal Trust, Jindal – Nigam Tumkur Road, Bangalore	[1] Award of Scholarship.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Initiative shown by the students, augmented by constant encouragement provided by the faculty has resulted in a number of student activities. Students are participating in Blood Donation, AIDS Awareness, Tree Plantation, etc.

All the departments have their own association which are constantly striving hard to imbibe recent trends and technologies by arranging various seminars and lectures by well qualified and recognised personalities. There are various inter department competitions conducted giving chance to one and all.

Various inter college sports tournaments are conducted by the college sports council. The students also take part in various inter collegiate and varsity sports meet.
